yeah, except you can jump on your own accord, which is the one factor which got me to be interested. and the screenies are cool aswell of course!
I like the screens, I just hope ever so much that it has Mario style sounds. That'd me cool. One thing bugging me about the screens is how much of the screen is taken up by 'touch to jump' control. Surely this could just be a small part of the bottom right corner of the screen? I guess we'll see how things go. Any beta testing room left?
It does have Mario style sounds. I've had a bit of trouble getting the provisioning profile set up, but it should be coming soon. Anyone who wants to test can send me their UDIDs by PM if they haven't yet. I might still take on a couple more people.
Beta is out now Gotta hop on my laptop to install though... may take a bit more time, but should be worth it
Awww... The controls were what I was most sure of. My friends have all picked them up really quick and like them better than D-pad controls. But then again, I was there to show them how they worked. To move it's more of a flick action than a drag action I guess. To run around you keep flicking in the direction you want to go.
Cool, I'll change the instructions screen to say flick instead of drag. I'll have another build with that and some bugfixes and new levels tomorrow.
I think that you be able to jump higher, maybe a double jump or just increase how high you jump. There should be an option to keep the control hints shown at start onscreen during game too.
