      iFart got 50000 on Christmas day, and iShoot is doing great. Plus this is spread out over months, and you have huge free apps, like Urbanspoon with 3 million on its own.

      Over at AppleInsider they have this post, where they take the last announced figures and average it over time.
      Over 4.5 million downloads a day on average! Thats some insane numbers. :cool:

      Wow, you are a beast when it comes to downloading!

      It's because a lot of them are free or $.99. If they were more expensive the numbers would be significantly lower.

      ^This. I've downloaded anywhere from 50-60 apps. Nine of them cost money, and five of those were 99c.

      But yeah ... some insane numbers .... i'd be interested to know if these are unique purchases or includes updates or re-downloads.....

      I see that number accelerating with the ipod touch's popularity. A billion downloads by March 31st, I say!.
