I've died many times, it's harder than it looks. The button controls work well. Theres coins to collect, which from what I can tell are used to buy revives, if you run out then they can be purchased via iap. The first revive costs 30 coins, not sure if that increases on the second revive as I never used any. Coins can be earned in game by breaking blocks and killing animals and you start with 100 so inwould imagine it's possible to get by without purchasing any. There are a ton of gems to collect but I'm not sure what you are supposed to with them as there's no shop that I can see. Sometimes the game kind of stutters for a few seconds and it got me killed a couple of times. It seems to be when shooting out of the cannon in particular. As well as the coins and gems I found gold trophys, of which there are three in each level to collect. So far I'm having fun and I'll probably keep playing through to see what the next world brings. stantowalker Well-Known Member Apr 26, 2012 343 0 0 SW #7 stantowalker, Dec 9, 2013 Codes all used... thanks for sharing Lazer Kat Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2013 2,596 0 0 #8 Lazer Kat, Dec 9, 2013 But does it have the X factor, which very few iPlatformers do, does it feel like Mario? cloudpuff Well-Known Member Sep 12, 2013 3,600 0 36 lazy layabout uk #9 cloudpuff, Dec 9, 2013 I'd have to say no, for me the only thing that feels like Mario is Mario. The game looks quite good. Animation is lovely. Buttons respond quite well. But the character walks like he is constantly walking on something slippery. And the worst part: The jumping. It is so weird. Feels all floaty. Especially at the end of the jump. And weird thing is that even if you always hold the jump button all the way, the character sometimes makes small jumps. And a small annoyance: not able to walk back(like super mario bros 1). Screen only goes to the right. Never back to the left. Played a little, but chose to delete it. Its a shame because it looks good. And i am a sucker for platformgames. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
