The issue with the lag is when Game Center tries to connect. Check your internet connection and possibly sign out then back into your GC app.
With the sneakers of speed activated, your character speed doesn't hange when you toggle hardcore on, until you take damage. Same for slowing down...
No problems with the double income... Anyway, the extra heart FULLY refills your current health, which is nice :P Weapon drop is more..one...
