I have them both. I think with the younger generation of gamers of today. R-Type and R-Type II are just too hard or the attention span isn't there.

You can upgrade all of the weapons up to level 3 except the for health and wing cannons which can be upgraded to level 4.

What about adding some power ups in the vein of the Raiden games? Not weapon upgrades but legitimate power ups like the ones in The Raiden games.
