Lol, the only ebony thing I've seen so far is a shield. Plus, I think I levelled up my non-combat skills too much (lockpick, sneak, pickpocket)...
I don't have an iPad, but I've heard from someone who played it on an iPad. He seemed happy with it!

*SEMI-SPOILER* I'm level 25 in the game (a non-violent thief type) and what I've found in this that the game scales up with you (like Oblivion)....
