I think it's probably just down to your own taste... I'm using a Mad Catz CTRLi micro so I had to crank the sensitivity up about two notches... if...
I had to adjust the sensitivity in the settings a bit.. once I did it played like a dream :)

It's a little annoying when you have to tap the screen instead of being able to use the controller for everything... but a lot of other games do...
