I think the manual said the torpedo targeting is accurate up to 1500 yards. It doesn't say their max travel range though. Not sure about the deck...
The regular game is essentially one big free roam mode, where you get random encounters if you move around on the map.
Definitely a cool sim. I don't have much of a clue what I'm doing yet, but I can tell it's good. Absolutely love the fact that there are no IAP....

It's good, but definitely needs more camera options and view angles. I like a fixed view, but I like playing from an angle that's tilted back...

The PS3 version is much better graphically than the iPad version......the physics feel better as well.
