Games so far so good. Graphics are amazing! There are a lot of framrate drops sadly even on my iPhone 5S, but it's not that big of an issues.

Yes and no you can explore the level you are at but there not very big, at least on the demo version I played.
In the shirt time I played I used a shaild and a sword then used duel blades I don't know if there are any other weapons at this point, but armor...
