I've just checked, and it appears to work fine.
iOS 10.2.1 (or whatever the current one is), 2.41 GB. No idea when I last reset the iPad, I'll try that now and see if the crashes still happen.

79p is still an option, there are two alternative price tiers (49p and 79p) as well as the standard one (99p).
It's a new alternative price tier for the UK. 99c apps can cost 99p, 49p, or 79p (I think it's 79, might be 69?) now, whichever the seller decides.
